He was predeceased by: his parents, Lavon, Jr. Ames and Bodine MacDonald Ames; and his brothers, Maxwell Ames and Hossa Anthony. He is survived by: his children, Hunter Ames, Marine, Hannah Hamilton (Cody) of Vinalhaven, Dillon Ames of North Haven and Derek Jeffers of St. George; his sisters, Carolyn Ames of Matinicus, Jackie Ames of Freeport, Wanda Philbrook of Matinicus and Cathy Oakes of Vinalhaven; and his daughter Kate Bennard of Vinalhaven.
