We bid farewell to Nancy Byard (Veazie, Maine), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 8, 2025 at the age of 90. Nancy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Brooks and Blanche Brooks (Kincaid); her son James Byard Jr.; her daughter-in-law Susan Sassi Byard; and the father of her children James Byard Sr..
She is survived by: her sister Joyce Englehardt; her brother-in-law Guy; her children, Patricia Byard, Elizabeth Byard (Morag Robertson), Jeffery Byard (Tikie), Renae Byard and Shirley Ripley (Brent); her grandchildren, Aaron Rogers, Tessa Byard, Jesse Byard (Gina McCarthy), Brenna Parent (Ryan), David Williams, Alyson Poland (Erik), Christopher Ripley and Shawn Ripley (Ashley Burns); her great grandchildren, Harley Rogers (Sam Neil), Andrew, Jackson Hastings, Jameson, Mayve and Lily Parent; and her sister-in-law Vera Byard. She is also survived by her nephews and niece.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Fairview Cemetery.
Gifts in Nancy's memory may be made to the Animal Orphanage of Old Town or a charity of choice.
