We are sad to announce that on October 21, 2018 we had to say goodbye to Paul Cates (Vassalboro, Maine). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family. You may also light a candle in honor of Paul Cates.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Annabel Cates and Harold Cates; his 11 siblings and all but two of their spouses; two of his siblings-in-law; his son Martin. He is survived by : his wife, Elisabeth; his children, Christopher (Victoria), Dorothee (David), Winfried, Douglas (Emily), Margaret and Helen (Brad); his grandchildren, Maximilian, Nicholas, Ethan, Julia, Oliver, Elijah, Isaac, and Klara; his siblings-in-law, Charles, Saundra, Horst (Dagmar).He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

However, donations may be made in his honor to the American Friends Service Committee (http://afsc.org), to Maine General Hospice (https://give.mainegeneral.org), or to the Vassalboro Friends Meeting. In the Quaker tradition, a celebration of Paul's life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 10 at 2 p. m. at the Vassalboro Friends Meeting, 48 S Stanley Hill Road, Vassalboro.
