She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry G. Hartford and Margaret Hartford (Huntley); her husbands, Donald Grindle and Kenneth Orne; and her sisters, Sarah Butler and Ernestine Pease.
She is survived by: her son Wayne Russell Simmons (Emily); her stepsons, James and Eric; her grandson Joshua of Manitee, MI; and her stepdaughter Julie McClarie (Steven). She is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
