With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter M. Leavitt of Turner, Maine, born in Lewiston, Maine, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 16, 2024 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Merton Leavitt and Ruth Leavitt (Goss); his stepdaughter Dulsie Varney; his son-in-law Troy Varney; and his in-laws, Robert Dudley (Dorothy), Paul Giroux and Tracey Giroux.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mark Leavitt (Susan), John Leavitt (Paula) and Mary Leavitt (David Rogers); his stepson Roland "Ed" Morris, Jr. (Tracy) of Turner; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Young, Kyle Morris, Audrey Webber and Shelby Varney; and his in-laws, John Dudley (Margot) of Hartford, Lawrence Giroux (Cynthia) of Hartford, Edward Giroux (Deborah) of Greene, Lorenzo Giroux (Patricia) of Bridgton, Troy Giroux (Rhonda) of North Jay, Rosalie Caron (Richard) of Leeds and Carmen Kiesman of North Turner. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
