He was predeceased by: his parents, Erlon, Sr. Rand and Grace Rand (Adams); his wife Janice G. Pillsbury of Rangeley; his son-in-law Brad O'Connor; and his siblings, Alice Kennison, Fred Rand and Helen Grover.

He is survived by: his children, Steve (Vicki Rand), Kenneth (Marge Rand), Dianne O'Connor (Mike Hricko) and Kathy (Mark Decker); his grandchildren, Jennifer Casey (Dan), Jason Rand (Mandy), Brent Rand (Chizu), Emily Rand, Shawn O'Connor (Claire), Heidi Rand (Carl), Michael O'Connor (Elizabeth), Taryn Henry (Justin), Briana Hudson (Chris), Kelli Young (Kenny), Brittany Lopez (Paul), Carrie Timberlake (Ryan) and Britini Broseker (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Amanda Rand (Daryl Gruet), TeeJay Sinclair (Amber), Kaylee Casey (Kevin St), Noah Casey (Kayla Douglass), Oliver, Simon Rand, Annebelle Rand, Amelia, Eloise Krams, Hailie Rand, Lyla Reynolds, Kade, Ayden, James Henry, Jameson Timberlake, Andrew, Matthew, William O'Connor, Alice, Zeke Young, Jules O'Connor, Reilley, Cole Hudson, Gabriel, Gavin Filip, Tina Marie, Evan Lopez, River, Aspyn and Blaise Broseker; and his great great grandchildren, Cullen Gruet, Lillian Sinclair and Alice Douglass.
