He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Spelke and Edna Spelke; his wife Laura Spelke; his son Jonathan Spelke (Amy); his grandchildren, Max and Cora; his daughter Jessica (Alan Jansujwicz); and his grandchildren, Alec, Eliza and Sasha. He was also cherished by five grandchildren.
