He was predeceased by : his sister Barbara Charron. He is survived by : his children, Dudley H. Leavitt III of Wiscasset and Lisa Marie Cooper of Granite Falls; his siblings, James Leavitt (Rosalie) of Topsham, Robert Leavitt (Victoria) of Topsham, Charles Leavitt of Lewiston, Sandra Daigle (David) of Bath, Pamela Wright of Woolwich, Patricia Brawn of Bath and Dorothy Contreras (Bill) of Topsham; and his grandchildren, Kyle Green, Gabrielle Leavitt, Dudley "Sage" Leavitt IV and Nico Leavitt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery. A reception was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 11:45 AM at the Elks Lodge (179 Park Row, Brunswick, ME 04011).
