It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henry Carey of Thomaston, Maine, born in Salem, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 8, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Carey and Carrie Carey (Stevers); his son Jeffrey Carey; his brothers, Louis and Albert Carey; and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Blakney Jr., Joseph Leclerc, Wally O'hara, Ralph Esancy, Patricia Carey, Betsy Esency and Sheila Haynes.
He is survived by: his former wives, Joyce E. Blakney and Anita Carey (Burton); his wife Lucy Carey (Haynes); his children, Sandra Thompson (Daniel), Michael Carey (Katherine), Patti Carey (Peg Gandy), Terry Hunt (James), Stacy Burch (John), Bruce Wiles, Scott Wiles (Maryann), Alison Hamlin (Thomas), Daniel Morris (Cathy), Barbara Morris and Jerome Morris; his grandchildren, Michelle Thompson, Helen, Collin Carey, Lyndsey, Jeremy, Jacqueline, Rachel Carey, Henry Hunt, Julia Delano (Samuel), Hayley Burch, Tiffany Janvrin (Eugene), Emily Hamlin, Allison Young and Shannon Young; his great grandchildren, Christopher Thompson (Lindsey), Jasmyne Frappier, Kylynne Cusick, Sean, Sage Carey, Sophia Carey-Garcia, Fenris Griffin, Lucas Ogden, Samuel Delano and Chloe Young; his great great grandchild Autumn Frappier; his siblings, Alice Leclerc, Robert Carey (Theresa), Dexter Carey and John Carey (Joan); and his siblings-in-law, Mary Carey, Jolanta Mikutis (Chuck), Erma Blakney, Priscilla O'hara and Jasper Haynes. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Social distancing and masking were observed.
