We are sad to announce that on November 2, 2022, at the age of 88, Richard Lloyd Leighton of Sullivan, Maine, born in Ellsworth, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Joseph W. Leighton; his wife Winnifred "Fritzi" Hoffer; and his son Keith Leighton. He is survived by: his children, Sherri Skuhra (Frank), Steve Leighton (Karen), Kathleen Carter (David), Debbie Mahoney, Linda Meyer (James) and James Leighton (Darcy); his daughter-in-law Dorene Leighton; his brother Philip Leighton; his sisters-in-law, Josephine Letlebo and Nancy Foelske (Michael); and his close friend Toni Helgerson. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
