We are sad to announce that on September 30, 2023, at the age of 93, Walter Lindy Mattson (Stockholm, Maine), born in Caribou, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henning Victor Mattson and Adeline Gladys Mattson (Hedman); and his siblings, Charles, John, Jackie, Stanley, Phyllis, Margaret and Katherine.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia; his daughters, Linda Leary (Michael) of Anchorage, AK and Marie Gorman (John) of Augusta; his grandchildren, Erica (Leo), Kyle (Jaywon) and Lukas (Katelyn); and his great grandchild Charlotte. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family requests that those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a contribution to the Stockholm American Legion Post 136 in honor of Walter Lindy Mattson.
