He was predeceased by: his parents, George O. Baker and Marion T. Baker (Clark); his son Joseph Baker; and his siblings, Georgianna Wickham, Helen "Ruthie" Brening, Francis Grubb and Harry Baker.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Plummer-Baker; his children, Howard "Willie" Baker-Plummer (Teri) of Lyman, Robert "Bob" Baker-Plummer (Debra) of Limington, Shawn Baker of Cross, S. C., Patrick Baker (Jayme) of Glenwood, M. N., Melissa Morgan (Corey) of Lewiston and Tammy Goslant (Albert) of Raymond; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Baker (Sandy) of Michigan, Richard "Dickie" Baker (Jane) of Portland, John "Jackie" Baker (Jean) of Westbrook, George Baker (Maxine) of New Gloucester, Arthur Baker (Cindy) of Florida, Barbara Landean of Biddeford, Dorothy "Dottie" Lewis (Steve) of Oxford and Margaret "Peggy" Allen (Percy) of Nevada. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
