With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John L. Benwell of Standish, Maine, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on October 11, 2024 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Benwell and Ellen Campbell Benwell; his children, John M. Benwell of Rochester, NH, Michael John Benwell of Germany, Jonathan Benwell of Standish and Stacey Benwell of Rochester, NH; and his siblings, Wayne Benwell of Standish, Margaret Tetrault of Buxton and Kimmy Rondeau of Buxton. He was also cherished by 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery (83 Stanley Rd, Springvale, ME 04083).
