She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Cote (Norton) and Fred Cote; and her sister Pearl. She is survived by: her husband Robert Lewis of Standish; her son Christopher Garland (Andrea Garland) of Portland; her grandchildren, Elicia Fortier and Michelle Fortier; her daughter Amanda Shipman (Dennis Shipman Jr.) of Limerick; her grandchildren, Dennis Shipman III and Grace Shipman; and her brother Gerald Cote (Patti) of Limington. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland to honor Sonia's deep love for animals.
