He is survived by: his children, Nancy (late Walter "Bill" Brown) of Standish, Bill Coppersmith (MaryAnn) of Windham, Bob Coppersmith (Paula) of Windham and Dave Coppersmith (Karen) of Portland; and his grandson Walter Brown.
