With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ralph Warren Stanley of Southwest Harbor, Maine, born in Bar Harbor, Maine, who passed away on December 7, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester W. Stanley and Bertha E. Stanley (Robinson); his sisters, Ruth Holmes, Irene Murphy, Esther Willis and Phoebe Collins; his grandson Cory C. Long; and his friend Albie Nielson.
He is survived by: his wife Marion Stanley (Linscott); his children, Nadine Goodwin (Tim) of Tremont, Marjorie Rankin (Robert) of Southwest Harbor, Richard Stanley (Lorraine) of Ellsworth and Edward Stanley (Connie) of Southwest Harbor; and his sisters, Nancy Stone of New Hartford, Myrna Ritterskamp of Indianapolis and Mary Abbott (Roy) of Ellsworth. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph's honor to the Southwest Harbor Public Library, Friendship Sloop Society or the Penobscot Marine Museum.
