She was predeceased by: her mother Eleanor Cushing (MacVane); her husband Ralph Spiers; and also Carlton Cushing. She is survived by: her sisters, Madelyn Cushing and Sally Howard (Robert); her daughter Joanne Spiers (Lee Feldman); and her great grandchildren, Kaysen Streeter, Kaysley Streeter, Emily Kennedy and Anthony Kennedy. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she was known as "Ninna".
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of America and the American Heart Association.
