It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Hamlin Rand of South Portland, Maine, who passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Russell of South Portland and Ruth "Hamlin" Rand of South Portland; and his brother-in-law Dave Allen of Cape Elizabeth. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Crowell Rand of South Portland; his son Jim Rand (Cerelia); his granddaughters, Evelyn and Emma of Haverhill, Massachusetts; his daughter Nicole Rand; his grandchildren, Hannah and Aliyah; his great grandchildren, Malika and Araya; his sisters, Mary-Jean Leary (Kenneth) and Karen Allen of Cape Elizabeth; and his brothers-in-law, Charles, Paul and Kevin Crowell. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hobbs Funeral Home (230 Cottage Rd, South Portland, ME 04106).
