She was predeceased by: her husband Edwin L. Deans; and her siblings, Charles H., Albert H., Richard F. and Ella E. Rice.
She is survived by: her parents, George H. Rice and Helen Hamlin Rice; her children, George L., Richard C., Joan John (Hebron), Elizabeth "Sis" (Gorham), Miriam D., Christopher Collins (South Portland), Leah D. and Gary Davis (Cumberland); her grandchildren, Richard, Julie, George Thomas II, John Hamlin, Liia, Jessica, Chris, Rachel, Ellen, Emma, Kyle, Maryella, Dana, Caleb, Sarah, Amanda, James, Deanna, Matthew and Ludmila; and her close friends, Gregory, Patricia Bohnsack, Bruce, Ruth Lindner, Roland and Mary Morin.
In Lieu of flowers, it was Rachels wish to have funds designated for perpetual care of the military flag display at the highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
