He was predeceased by: his parents, David Everest and Mary Everest (McCann); his wife Juanita Marie Berry; and his siblings, David and Grace.
He is survived by: his children, Karen (Dan Vassie) of Zephyrhills, FL, Barbara (Mark Rand) of Hiram, ME, Mary (Ron Cavallero) of Portland, ME, Peter Jr. (Wendi Everest) of South Portland, ME and Grace (Mark Leavitt) of South Portland, ME.; and his close friend Joan Berry of Portland. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Pete's name can be made to the Maine Military Museum and Learning Center, 50 Peary Terrace, South Portland, Maine 04106.
