He was predeceased by: his parents, Delia Duffy and Michael Joyce; his wife Faye L. McCormick; his sisters, Margaret (Mert) and Mary; his brother-in-law John Griffin (Lefty); his brother Martin Joyce (Beano); his sister-in-law Helen Joyce (Hayden); his sister Bridget; his brothers-in-law, Peter Malia and Mert Concannon; and his nephew Martin Griffin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Katherine (David Twombly) of South Portland and Regina Joyce of South Portland; his great grandchildren, Joseph Norwood of Cumberland, Jake Cunningham of Cumberland, Tucker Norwood of Cumberland and Katherine Norwood of Cumberland; his friend Frank Kemna; his granddaughter Melissa (Robert Cunningham) of Cumberland; his sister Katherine Joyce of Portland; his nieces, Joyce Malia, Jeannie Malia and Lisa Gale; his nephew John Griffin; his cousin Ireland; and also, Jack, JoAnne Coyne, Ken and Terry Fox.
