He was predeceased by: his mother Mabel Stover Carey; his wife Delores Carey; and his brother-in-law Ted Briggs. He is survived by: his former wife Deloris Valley; his son Gene (Theresa Carey) of South Portland; his grandson John (Melissa Carey) of South Portland; and his sisters, Evangeline Briggs of South Portland and Rosalie (Robert Bergeron). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
