He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Virginia Smith Alterio; his parents, Michael Alterio and Mary Alterio (McCannon); his children, Brendon Alterio (Melanie Marston) of Pownal, ME and Kristin; his son-in-law Mark McCarthy of Barre, VT; his grandchildren, Olivia Alterio, Ella McCarthy, Julia Alterio, Ned McCarthy and Sophia Alterio; and his brother Brian Alterio. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews & cousins.
