He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Michaud and Eva Michaud (Lagasse); his children, Christine Michaud and Lonnie Michaud; and the mother of his children Louise Field.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Robertson Michaud; his sister Karen Finley (Kenneth); his children, Chris Michaud (Wendy), Michael Michaud, Valerie Michaud, Alan Michaud (Darcy) and Jeff Michaud (Jodie); and his stepdaughters, Pam Doble (Chris) and Liane Johnson (Greg). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
