He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hovey and Christine Hovey (Beaulieu); his son Troy Hovey; and his siblings, Harold, John, Floyd, Roger, Kenneth, Ray, Marion, Bernice and Phylliss.
He is survived by: his wife Janet M. Hovey (Gayne) of Skowhegan; and his children, Lawrence Hovey Jr. (Ashley) of Bangor, Dave Hovey of Skowhegan, Annie Hite (James) of Red Lion and Crystal Goguen (Jason) of Waterville. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.
