She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Alfred L. Johnston and Mabel Johnston (Whitaker); her husband Paul L. Ruksznis; and her brothers, George and Alfred "Johnny" Johnston.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Ruksznis (Penny Smith Ruksznis) of Skowhegan, Frank Ruksznis (Cheryl Hartford Ruksznis) of Sangerville, Mary Smith of Portland, Judith Folsom (David Bovill) of Moultonborough, NH and Marina Gomez (Jorge) of Ormeno; her brother William Johnston (Julie) of Poquoson, VA; her sister-in-law Bernadette Johnston of Venice, FL; and her grandchildren, Craig, Corey, Hannah, Amanda, Morgan, Alex, Jeffrey and Jarrod. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
