He is survived by: his parents, Francis J. Lessard and Patricia M. Lessard of Canaan; his sisters, Julie Bourassa (Jeff) of Winslow and Katie Lessard McKenzie (Lance) of Skowhegan; and his nephews, Dayton Bourassa of Winslow, Colby Buzzard, Reese Buzzard of Skowhegan, Lucky and Sable. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Arrangements under the direction and care of Dan & Scott's Cremation & Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan, ME 04976. "To be a star, you must walk your own path, shine your own light and not be afraid of the darkness, because that's when a star shines the brightest." In lieu of flowers, friends wishing to may make donations in Alan's memory to the: Somerset Humane Society PO Box 453, Skowhegan, ME 04976.
