He was predeceased by: his father William C. Gatchell Jr. of Searsport; and also Uncle Philip "Butchy" Osle of Unionville. He is survived by: his mother Sarah "Sally" M. Gatchell of Searsport; his brother Steven M.; his wife Mary Gatchell of Stonington; and his daughters, Heather L. of South Yarmouth and Audrey E. Gatchell of South Yarmouth. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, anyone who wishes to may make a donation in his name to the Cancer Care of Maine Oncology Department at Waldo County Hospital.
