It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald G. Hersey (Searsport, Maine), who passed away on December 24, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Earl Hersey and Dorothy Hersey (Jenkins); and his sister Joan Meyer of Taylorville, IL. He is survived by: his sisters, Jacqueline Spargo of Norwell, MA and Alison Henderson of Mattapoisett, MA.; his wife Ellen Hersey (Keegan); his sons, Dr. Donald Hersey Jr. (Cathy) and Scott (Kristine); his grandchildren, Katie, Megan, Erin, Matthew, Sarah, Keegan, Margaret, MaryClaire and Jacob; and his great grandchildren, Wesley, Max, Maeve, Theo and Arlo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bucksport High School Golf team.
