As Alberta departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Alberta may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Alberta leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard W. Ames; and her sisters, Helen West, Ruth Ann Robinson and Ina Trundy. She is survived by: her children, Neil Ames (Susan) of Beaufort, SC, Gwen Bacon (Bryan) of Sidney, Gary Ames of Kokadjo and Suellen Ames (Ron Curtis); and her grandsons, Christopher Ames (Deanna), Gary Cruz, Nicholas Bacon (Megan) and Adam Bacon (Caitlin). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
