Ruth M. Merrifield Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth M. Merrifield of Searsmont, Maine, who passed away on March 4, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Cushman and Viola Cushman (Skinner); and her son Scott Merrifield (Richard Merrifield). She is survived by: her children, Douglas Merrifield (Mary), Gregory Merrifield (Jeannie Smith) and Patricia Fuller (Jason); her grandchildren, Erik Thompson, Lacey Cunningham (Jeremy), Colan Merrifield, Aaron and Sarah Fuller; her great grandchildren, Ashton, Remington Thompson, Chance and Sawyer Cunningham; her great great grandchildren, Colton, Ruth and Violet Thompson; her siblings, George Cushman, David Cushman, Janice Glidden, Dot Sherwood, Mary Baron, Steve Cushman and Larry Cushman; her close friends, Gene, Luella Merrifield and DeeDee Doughty; her siblings, John Cushman, Bob Cushman, Esther Reece, Bertha Ruuk and James Cushman; and her husband Richard Merrifield.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
