He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bernice Young (Lermond) and Ivan Young of Millertown; his wife Rachel Alma Dougherty of Camden; his siblings, Lewis A. Young (Candace) and Jackie Y. Watts (Maurice Watts); his brother-in-law Peter Rolerson; his children, Cathy (John), Steven (Ronny), Kimberly, Todd (Suzanne), Scott (Jane) and Stacey (Thomas); his grandchildren, Michael Rossiter (Sarah), Darren Rossiter (Briana), Kyle Young (Amber), Derek Young (Michele), Wyatt Parra, Breyn, Chelsea, Bailey Young and Nicole Young (Brendan); his great grandchildren, Preston, Avery, Sophia Rossiter, Brysen Rankin, Jaylen Young, Addie, Boden Pratt and Lucas Young; and his sisters, Rosemary Winslow (George) and Judith Rolerson.
