Thomas Joseph Sargent Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas (Tom) Joseph Sargent of Portland, Me, who passed away peacefully at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House on June 17, 2022. Tom was born in Gloucester, Ma and raised in Cape Elizabeth, Me. He was a graduate of Cape Elizabeth High School and Plus-Grays School of Business. He retired from Maine Medical Center where he worked for many years. Tom was the son of George P. Sargent of Gloucester, Ma. and Alice Mary Grace of Rockport, Ma. He was brother to Nancy Obrien of Standish, and John Sargent of Portland. He leaves behind ex-wife Colleen Sargent of Biddeford, daughter Lisa Demmons of Windham, son, Thomas C Sargent of Saco, son in law David Demmons of Windham, grandchildren Matthew Sargent, Dr. Brittany Demmons, Marissa Sargent, Madelyn Demmons, Christopher Sargent, great grandchildren Levi Grondin and Elijah Ford, & many nieces and nephews.
Tom lived a simple life and enjoyed spending time with his family and fur grand babies. He also enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams and horse racing.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
