With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Shirley Dean of Scarborough, Maine, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Henneke and Hazel Henneke (Sanders). She is survived by: her husband Herbert Strauss; her sons, William (Gretchen Strauss) and Robert Strauss (Jeanne Strauss); her granddaughters, Julie Hellstrom, Angela Strauss, Erica Holland and Melissa Strauss; her great grandchildren, Sophia and Liam Hellstrom; and her stepchildren, Debbie, Vicki and Sandy.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Jean's memory are asked to consider the Parkinson's Foundation or the Avery Humane Society, Newland, NC.
