He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Sr. Jackson and Theresa Jackson (Toulouse); and his siblings, Carl Jackson Jr., Norman Jackson and Gloria Hendrix.

He is survived by: his wife Dolores Jackson (Davis); his daughters, Mary (George Clements), Denise (Todd Perkins) and Kristina Lane (Michael Kirby); his grandchildren, Ashley (Nate DeSimone), Kayla (Brandon McLellan), Lindsey (Eric Anderson), Sarah (Steve Verrill), Todd Jr., Abby Perkins and Nicholas Lane; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Jace and Wade.
