He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Laitres and Mary Laitres (Grenier); his former wife Lorraine Lillian Laitres; and his siblings, Jeanne, Aldea, Anita, Ramond, Marieange, Merilda, Emile, Azelda, Rose-Amee, Lauriana, Ernestine and Raoul.

He is survived by: his stepsons, Thomas Lavertu (Linda) and Daniel Lavertu (Debbie); and his sister Rose Plante. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
