She was predeceased by: her parents, Adjutor Gouzie and Laura Gouzie (Lavigne); her husband Lawrence Hayer; her daughter-in-law Pauline; and her granddaughter Angela Malloy.

She is survived by: her children, Steven Hayer (Pauline) of Bridgton, Susan Merrill (Sheldon) of Sebago, Deborah Archer (Paul) of Sanford, Barbara Christy (Steve) of Gray and Diane Malloy of Lewiston; and her brother Armand Gouzie (Cecile) of Cooper. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
