He was predeceased by: his stepson Greg Hall; his parents, Merton Patten and Althea Patten; and his brothers, Louis, Hayden and Harry "Gene" Patten.

He is survived by: his daughter Karen Connors; his son-in-law Tom Connors; his stepdaughter Leslie Hall; his grandson George Walker; his great grandchildren, Kayla Walker and Damien Walker; and his sisters, Carol Hill and Arlene Kramer. He is also survived by step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
