Charlene Stimpson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlene Stimpson of Saint George, Maine, who passed away on April 2, 2021 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Blaisdell and Goldie Blaisdell (Lewis); her husband Arnold Stimpson; her sister Virginia Tarr of New Harbor; and her daughter Sally Blaisdell Field.
She is survived by: her former husband Earl Field, Jr. of Monhegan Island; her daughters, Cathy Field of Rockland and Nancy Field Frederick (Donald Frederick) of Martinsville; her stepson Frederick Stimpson of Martinsville; her sister Evelyn Radivonyk (Blaisdell); her grandchildren, Marisa Wallace (Derek McClellan) of Winthrop, Daphne Thomson (Scott Thomson) of New Hampshire, Russell Fuller (Meredith) and Alana Sarno (Fuller) of Stuart, Florida.; her great grandchildren, Ian Thomson, Sophie Fuller, Alec Sarno and Jacob Sarno; and her niece Pamela Rice (Tarr) of New Harbor.
In the 1950's, when the polio pandemic was raging around the world, she joined countless women across the country in what was then called the March of Dimes.
