Though Carol may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Carol touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Taggart (Jim); and her parents, Robert Thompson and Arlene Thompson (Blair). She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Thompson Jr., Nileen Farnsworth (Thompson), Jeanette Adams (Thompson) and Mary Thompson; her son Jeff Pierce (Melody Pierce) of Saco, Maine.; her niece Kate Farnsworth; her nephew Josh Adams of Lincoln, VT.; and her stepdaughter Ann Taggart.
Carol moved to Maine in August of 2023 when it was clear that she had dementia which quickly became Alzheimer's.
