He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred "Chick" Viger and Emma Richardson Viger; and his siblings, David Viger and Louise Viger Blais. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Morales Viger of Texas; his children, Robert Viger, Jr. of Nebraska, Tom Viger of Kansas, Michelle Viger Tripp of Dixfield and Heather Viger Finnan of Rumford; and his siblings, David Durham, Brenda Viger Howitt of Rumford, Wilfred "Chick" Viger, Marlene Viger of Rumford, Wayne Viger of Turner, Roger Viger of Rumford and Sandra Viger Hebert of Dixfield.
