He is survived by: his wife Jean Louise Volkernick (Burgess); his children, John Volkernick Jr. (Nancy), Jamie Volkernick (Rhonda) and Julie Allison (Steve); his grandchildren, Brian Volkernick, Chelsea Allison (Kyle Trask), Zachary Allison and Lauryn Volkernick; and his sister Lilly Burns. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
