It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilda Faye Heikkinen of Rumford, Maine, born in Norway, Maine, who passed away on October 9, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Flood and Clara Flood (Edwards); her sister Maureen; and her sons, James Heikkinen and John Heikkinen.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Heikkinen and Julie Volkernick (Paul); her grandsons, Joseph Heikkinen (Brittany), Robert Heikkinen, Derek Volkernick and Adam Volkernick; and her great grandchildren, Alexandra and Maddex Heikkinen.
