He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Leadbetter Ames and George Elwood Leadbetter; his son Stephen Leadbetter; his granddaughters, Jodi Ferris and Elisha Mort; his great grandchild Gabriella Jankowski; and his stepsiblings, Clyde Ames, Gilbert Ames and Janice Ames Lannon.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ramey; his children, Deborah (late Garrett), Cynthia (Bjorkman), Rebecca (Green), Laurie (Lizotte), Heidi (Walton), Robin (Mort), Amy (Smith) and Daniel Leadbetter; his brother Fred Leadbetter; and his stepsiblings, Ann (Wright) and Fremont Leadbetter. He is also survived by grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter or Hermon Baptist Church.
