She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter E. Carter and Marion Carter (Swift); her husband E. Elliott Allis; her siblings, Esther Fogwell (Seymour), Priscilla Randall (William) and Walter "Pete" Carter (Joan); and her son-in-law Bruce Blackmer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy M. Blackmer of Orange and Pamela J. Gale (C. David Gale) of Orange; her grandchildren, Rebecca Ingram (Jason) of Dracut, Jean Whitten (Michael) of Manchester, NH and Jessica Gale-Tanner (Benjamin) of Orange; her great grandchildren, Cory Tanner, Madison Whitten and Zachary Whitten; her goddaughter Bethany Bower (Carter); and her sister-in-law Adelia Bardwell (Allis). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
