She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Ray Mills and Edith Etta Beverage Mills; her husband Bernard "Bun" Merriam Smith (New Brunswick); her siblings, Priscilla Mills Dempsey and Alden Ray Mills (Sherry Theriault Mills); her sons-in-law, Charles Edward Fearing and William Leigh Peters; and her grandson Evan David Hopkins.
She is survived by: her children, Judith Smith Fearing, Janice Smith Hopkins, Lynn Smith Peters and Bernard Royal "Roy" Smith; her grandchildren, Jessica MacDonald Martin, Jason MacDonald, Nicholas Peters, Ethan Peters, Adam Fearing, Sarah Fearing, Eva Hopkins and Ian Hopkins; and her niece Jean Roman. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
