He was predeceased by: his parents, James Emerson and Marjorie Emerson (Flagg); and his siblings, Larry, Randy, Peter Emerson and Janet Sigars.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte (Nute) of Rockport; his children, Ernest Emerson of Belfast, David Emerson, Fiancè Michaela Long of Rockland and Crystal Young (Ian) of Waldoboro; his stepson Rob Milliken (Robin) of Union; his grandchildren, Joseph, Hannah, Paige, David III, Cyndal, Dakota, Mavrick, Robbie and Scott; his great grandchildren, Leo, Easton, Karma, Damien and Sarah; his brothers, Jim Emerson of Farmington, Terry Emerson (Elaine) of Friendship and Rusty Emerson (Paula) of Waldoboro; and his siblings-in-law, Stanley Sigars of Waldoboro, Barbra Emerson of Rockland and Sandy Emerson of Waldoboro. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
