He is survived by: his parents, Herbert C., Jr. and Mary Robbins Elwell of Spruce Head; his nephew Nicholas Owen Miller; his daughters, Anne Candelaria (Dean) of Rockland and Bridget Artibani of Florida; his siblings, Sam O. Elwell (Rebecca) of Owls Head and Julie A. Kelly (Gene) of Rockport; and his close friend DesiRea Nagel. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
