Nettie Salo Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 4, 2023, at the age of 97, Nettie Salo (Rockland, Maine), born in Rockport, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hawes and Emma Kent Hawes; her husband Arvo Salo; her son Robert W. Springer Salo; and her siblings, Freeman L. Hawes, Rodney Morse, Fred Morse, Charles Morse, Mary Dennison, Leona Wood, Laura Flanders, Virginia Young, Ethel Carlson, Marion Goding, Evelyn Hendrickson, Marie Mulvey, Mildred Bourgea, Clarinda Morse and Arline Morse.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law Shirley Hawes; and her nieces and nephews, Linda Greenlaw of Rockport, Leona Wadsworth (Grover) of Hope, Brendan O'Neil of Massachusetts and Roger Carlson of Rockland.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to the Finnish American Heritage Society of Maine, or to cancer research.
