She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Barter and Louisa Peters Barter; her son Steven Tupper; her siblings, Wilbur Barter, Jr., Donald Barter and Laura Ranquist; and her grandson Bryant Leary.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Stine (Greg) of Thomaston, Jeffrey Tupper of Rockland, Teresa Tupper of Portland, OR, Marie Leary of Virginia Beach, VA, Lisa Whetstone (Kyle) of Chapin, SC, Donald Tupper (Lois) of Scottsville, KY, Wayne Tupper of Spartanburg, SC and Kelly Dalzell of Rockland; and her sisters, Mildred Turner of Rockland and Sally Seymour of Veazie. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
A memorial service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home (110 Limerock St, Rockland, ME 04841). A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Achorn Cemetery (480 Old County Rd, Rockland, ME 04841).
